Day 4

Your Body Holds the Story

The wheel of words keeps spinning in your mind. Your heart still throbs with pain. But your body… your body carries the weight in ways you may not even realize.

The tension in your shoulders. The tightness in your chest. The way you flinch at loud voices or shrink when someone gets too close.

What you see as weakness isn’t weakness at all—It’s your deep, raw survival instinct.

Your body carried you through what your soul should never have had to endure. It stayed alert, on guard, ready to protect you. And now, it deserves what it was long denied—kindness, rest, and healing.

Many women blame their bodies after abuse—feeling shame over how it looks, how it reacted, or how it “didn’t fight back.” But today, I want you to see your body differently.

Today’s Gentle Practice:

1. Pause – Take a moment to notice how your body feels today. Where is there tightness? Where do you feel heavy or numb?

2. Place a hand over your heart – or anywhere that feels safe.

3. Whisper this truth:

“Thank you for carrying me. I’m learning to listen to you. I’m learning to love you.”

Healing isn’t just about what’s in your mind. It’s also about coming home to your body—without fear, without shame. Your body was never your enemy. It stayed. It protected. It kept you.

And now, it’s ready to be honoured—not just for surviving, but for helping you begin again.

Tomorrow, we’ll look at the power of boundaries—how to protect your peace without guilt.
